Athletico Des plaines, It’s a wonderful place. I had my fourth knee surgery on my left knee. Injured my ACL a couple times and same with my meniscus. When I’m home and feel certain pains, I feel overwhelmed and very discouraged about my healing process. I’d bring it up to the a doctor and instead of going through MRI’s and steroid injections, I brought it up to the therapist at this location. They gave me simple stretches to do, I do them and home and it has eased a lot of pain within 3-5 days. My knee feels weak often, and they just keep believing in me. Slowly but surely my leg is getting stronger. Fighting this mental and physical problem is really hard on me, and I couldn’t do it without the people here testing my abilities, and pushing myself little by little. I’m happy with the progress, i hope I can get back to work soon. They might not see it when I’m done and tired after every session, but I have a lot of gratitude towards them. Thank you all Matthew, Lauren, sejal, jihye, and Michelle (although she left) thank you all that have worked with me.

I had the greatest experience with my OT, Anna at Athletico. She shows great care and concern for my recovery and always makes me feel comfortable to voice my concerns. The rest of the staff at Athletico also gives me a great and welcoming vibe every time I visit. 10/10 experience!

My experience at Athletico was amazing. I initially came for a hip issue and worked with Mel. She was so supportive and really wanted the best for me. A couple years later I had a hip surgery and went out of my way to come back to this Des Plaines location because of the outstanding experience I had here previously. Mel did an awesome job and each week I could tell we were making progress. Here I am now, playing competitive hockey every day of the week feeling better than before. The scheduling was very flexible, communication was very easy, and all of the staff go of their way to get to know you personally and made the recovery process enjoyable. I 100% recommend Des Plaines Athletico as the way to go! - Anthony

My first interaction with an Athletico location. Very helpful with curing me of my aches & pains. Extremely grateful and the staff (in Des Plaines) is very good. Lauren (PT) is very knowledgeable at what she does as a physical therapist.

I was referred by a Northwestern Orthopedic, Dr Gryzlo, for dry needling, PT and blood flow restriction technique. I am so glad I ended up working with Melissa. She was always on time, always cheerful and always encouraging. Not to mention she helped me to return to tennis after a year off due to injury. I will return if needed in the future & will be recommending Melissa to all my tennis friends who need PT as well. Support staff was great as well! 100% happy with my experience!

I recently underwent shoulder surgery and needed physical therapy to regain strength and mobility. This facility has been an absolute gem throughout my recovery journey. From the moment I walked in, it made me feel welcomed and at ease. The word "comfortable" truly sums up the environment here – it's clean, efficient, and warm. My physical therapist, Melissa, has been phenomenal. She not only guided me through exercises but also made sure to check in on how I was feeling every step of the way. Her attentiveness and expertise made a significant difference in my progress. Thanks to their care, I feel more confident in my recovery. Highly recommend this facility to anyone seeking top-notch care!

Seal was a great therapist...she asked what my needs were to get back to work and worked all areas that were needed...after 6 weeks I am ready to return to work.. I highly recommend this place for anyone needing therapy... Sejal was the best and the rest of the staff were warm an friendly... thank you

I had a great experience! Matt was my main PT and JJ was my secondary. Both did an AMAZING Job with my shoulder! They were both extremely personable and knowledgeable when I had complex questions. I was also greeted very pleasantly by Beth every time I came in and she was very accommodating and helpful when it came to my scheduling because it was complex sometimes.

This is my 2nd time at this Athletico . And have been quite satisfied. Both times were because of a knee replacement. Staff (JJ and team) understood the concern I was having got me through it. I am almost at the end of my PT and grateful to the DesPlaines Athletico for their help. All that is l left is to get an A+ from the surgeon.

I had a badly strained hamstring that had been hurting for well over a month by the time I went to Athletico. I was concerned that I would not be able to walk well enough for an upcoming trip. When I had first got there, some of the simple stretches and exercises were too much. By the time my therapy was complete, well before my trip, I was able to walk, jog, mountain bike, and do the progressively more difficult exercises. To say the least I was extremely pleased with the results and the time it took to get there. I have to say, though, make sure you do the home exercises your therapist gives you. They make a big difference.
